An architectural masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance inspiration, Le Château de Cognac opens its doors to reveal its history and some of the secrets behind the production of its Cognacs.
The visit begins in the historical part of the Chateau, where the visitor discovers sumptuous rooms, such as the splendid Salle des Etats, where King François Ist welcomed his guests. This room is distinguished by its Renaissance architecture, which is very different from the other parts of the Chateau dating from the Middle Ages. The tour then leads to the Château's cellars with their exceptional ageing conditions. The production of BARON OTARD and D'USSE Cognacs is explained in detail. At the end of the tour, you will be introduced to the art of tasting in an unusual way: in the dark, blindfolded. In a true sensory initiation*, rediscover your senses and try to guess the different aromas present in our D’USSE Cognacs. Will you dare to try the experience?
